Everything is always bigger in New York City. From the Time Square light show to the sky scrapping towers that surround downtown Manhattan - New Yorkers know how to live in style. Our team was recently approached by a NYC client to create an entertainment center, so we decided on this treatment for the TV set. What better way to view your favorite shows and movies than on a large projection screen right? And when your done the screen just rolls up by the click of a button. Wellbuilt to suit needs of a city dweller looking to relax after a hard days work.

Sliding Door Installation

The Installation of these custom built sliding doors allowed the owner of this New York apartment to close off and conceal the kitchen when not being used. Wellbuilt added an extra design feature by installing a wood valance to conceal the track hardware from view.

The great thing about these custom sliding doors is that they come in a range of styles and are delivered ready to install in a matter of hours. The doors were purchased from "sliding door company" and installed by the skilled craftsman at Wellbuilt.

Here's an entertainment set that our team is wrapping up at the moment in a downtown apartment. Simple, classy, clean, and Wellbuilt right into the wall.

We enjoyed the whole process of designing and building this set up. The client is thrilled with the outcome, and so are we.

Here's a photo of a photo from one of Richard Misrach's beach collections shot from above. Misrach's work captures a variety of  landscapes and human intervention in American settings. Great piece for a Wellbuilt apartment renovation in downtown NYC.

Beautifying the Radiator

Living in a densely populated area such as New York City, individuals pay more attention to space as interiors are tight. We've noticed on projects that a difficult item to cater to can be that outdated and clunky radiator in the living room.

By covering these radiators with a custom cabinet build out, you can turn these unattractive grey areas into a chic design feature that's easy on the eyes and complimentary to a Wellbuilt interior. Its a simple upgrade that can add a bit more charm to a space. Here's a custom radiator cabinet our team recently completed for an apartment in upper west side Manhattan.

The Costa Mesa Barn

Here's a Los Angeles Times blurb on our talented California designer Corey Gash:

Where many see junk, Corey Gash envisions design possibilities. The window display artist convinced his family to leave its comfortable, two-bedroom town house in Orange last year for a run-down barn in Costa Mesa that once housed chickens and, later, a boat-building operation. “The first time I saw it, I thought it was an amazing space with great bones. I’d always wanted to live in a barn,” says Gash, who has fond childhood memories of feeding the chickens during summer vacations at his aunt’s farm in Colorado. Partner Krista Wallace wasn’t as enthusiastic. “At first I thought, ‘No way. I couldn’t live there,’ ” she says. “The place was a shambles — filled with old wood and spiders. There wasn’t a bathroom — just an outdoor shower — and I had just found out that I was pregnant.” Now, repurposed materials and furnishings give the remodeled 700-square-foot home a loft-like openness and a soulful style. Here, the entrance wall is composed of wood reclaimed from a church roof.
