This commercial restoration project on St Ann’s school, New York was undertaken by New York General contractor Wellbuilt in 2010/11, in collaboration with JK Blum Engineers. The scope included; demolition roofs, brickwork, facade, windows, and removal of asbestos. Extensive brick replacement, brick pointing, roof replacement, lintel repair, and waterproofing were also carried out. A structural curtain wall window was designed to replace the aged glass block system which had been in place for several decades. This school construction construction project required careful planning to ensure the day to day operations of the facility were not hindered in any way. Scaffolding and overhead protection was required throughout the project.
